        Verdict

        QUINTUS ARRIUS has been given a break since scoring at Newcastle, a race that has worked out well, and may be thought capable of better. Just Janet won twice last summer and ended up in a Class 2 handicap at Newmarket where she was by no means disgraced. Ertebat improved with each run at the back-end of last year and could be on a fair mark while Lumacho won three times in the autumn and made a promising return at Southwell. Havana Rum ended last season winning at Newcastle and didn't get the clearest of runs on his reappearance at Ripon.
