He's edging up the weights but another bold bid is anticipated while Count Bertoni appears to be running into a bit of form judged on last week's third at Beverley. Merchant Of Medici, Vito Volterra and Tapis Libre could all play a part if at their best but Iulus had been struggling prior to dropping into selling company at Leicester and is now fitted with an eye-shield. Talent Scout isn't out of it but it may be worth giving another chance to SIR TREVOR, who looked a decent prospect when winning over track and trip in September as a two-year-old. Things haven't quite gone to plan this year but, dropped in distance and back on faster ground, he could take advantage of the easier grade after a short break.
