Inner Circle was making his debut for Roger Fell when runner-up over 7f at Catterick and ran well to chase home Right Action, though may find this on the short side. Kaeso completed a four-timer early last summer, the latest at this level, but the assessor looked to have got to him at Ripon in August and he hasn't run subsequently. Mr Orange loves it around here and has no problems winning in Class 5 company, though he finds it tough stepping up a grade. Short Work was in excellent form last summer and is only 2lb higher than his last victory though he was beaten a long way on his reappearance at Ripon. Storm Melody has won from a higher mark and is one to note but this can go to TAWNY PORT, who won a much better handicap than this at Ayr in 2016 and showed he'd retained ability when in touch for a long way at Windsor last month, his first start for almost a year.
