Djalalabad is a very interesting newcomer that represents powerful connections and is forwarded as a tentative choice to get off the mark at the first time of asking. Binocular and El Dececy can give him the most to think about. El Dececy showed promise over shorted distances last season but, judging by the way he faded in the closing stages of his reappearance at Newcastle, there has to be a doubt about his stamina. Still, he may have needed the run and would be dangerous to rule out. Binocular looks to be in need of at least 10 furlongs and can be expected to find a race before too long. His yard are flying just now, so he has to merit serious consideration. However, Djalalabad looks the part on paper and, considering Michael Jarvis enjoyed a 50% strike-rate with all his runners at Pontefract last season, this son of King's Best can make this another profitable visit to West Yorkshire for the Newmarket-based handler.
