      In depth

      Formwatch

Dark Before Dawn (USA) Formerly with Mark Johnston but sold cheaply; little show on debut, on AW

Lady Fearless Has been tried at 2m1f so a drop back to 6f is a curious one.

Polar Beauty (IRE) Injured on her intended start last summer; some hope on breeding in what looks, with the exception of a couple of runners, a modest event

Sateen Should stay a good deal further than this in time; has place claims at this level though

Benedictine Has an outstanding chance of dispensing with his maiden status today; his fifth to Inchcape last time looks well above what is required here

Dixie's Darts Little show in two back-end maidens last season; couldn't be a strong fancy

Perpetuity A mixture of speed and stamina on breeding; others likely to be sharper

Ridgeway Lad Gelded since debut run of last season; third in that and showed promise; could be the one for the forecast

Tonto O'Reilly Some promise on third run last year but does not seem to have progressed; plenty of speed in the pedigree and trainer can place them well

Annatto (USA) She ran well on occasion last year in much better company than this; the downside is that she was reintroduced on the AW (no real show) and is fitted with blinkers today so does not seem straightforward

Lady Dancer Certainly bred for speed; stable not a readily-identifiable source of winners of this nature

Mi Favorita No show thus far; stable hasn't been doing too badly but this one could not be suggested with wholesale confidence
