    Verdict

    Monoski made a very promising debut at York before an easy victory over this course and distance. He led for a long way in the Coventry Stakes before weakening quickly and will find this more to his liking. However LORD OF THE LODGE, who made a successful debut at Ayr, also ran in the Coventry and stayed on through beaten horses to finish mid-division so there's unlikely to be much between the pair here. Karl Burke's charge just gets the vote as Hurstwood is tackling this trip for the first time and may have problems matching strides with Monoski. Toro Strike was sent to Newbury for his debut and showed the benefit when making most at Thirsk, though he'll need to improve again to complete a double against these better rivals.
