In depth

Verdict

Bit Of A Quirke is back on a winning mark and ran well here two runs ago. Mark Walford’s gelding goes on the short-list alongside Beverley runner-up Ideal Candy but JO’S GIRL wasn’t disgraced over a mile here on her first run since wind surgery and is one of only two previous course winners in the line-up. She’s been dropped a further 2lb and 1m2f may prove her trip this season. Regular Income won at Wolverhampton in February but his only victory on Turf came on very soft ground.
