Bobbits Way was in good form around this time last year but was pulled up at Exeter on his only start this term. George Nympton is a shadow of his former self and 6lb out of the handicap here while Stars Royale went out like a light at Huntingdon earlier this month and was pulled up again. The Green Ogre is starting to come down the weights and must have a leading chance in an ordinary contest but we just prefer SAFFRON PRINCE (NAP), who was having only his second start over fences when third at Kempton.
Saffron Prince 12-1 (11-4) Held up towards rear, headway approaching 8th, one pace and beaten 3 out, left 3rd last, 3rd of 11, 12 3/4l behind Always On The Run (11-8) at Kempton 2m hcp (3) sft in Feb.
The Green Ogre 5-1 (11-4) Led to 3rd, disputed lead until blundered and lost place 4 out, soon ridden and one pace, left 4th 2 out, stayed on to take modest 3rd flat, no chance with front pair, 3rd of 7, 15 1/4l behind Blandfords Gunner (11-8) at Leicester 2m hcp (4) gd in Dec.
Stars Royale (IRE) 9-1 (11-4) Prominent, led 4th, headed after next, led 6th, mistake 10th, headed 4 out, weakened next, pulled up before 2 out, at Huntingdon 2m 4f hcp (4) sft in Feb.
Bobbits Way 10-1 (10-0) Held up towards rear, weakened before 6 out, pulled up before 4 out, at Exeter 2m 1f hcp (3) hvy in Nov.
George Nympton (IRE) 25-1 (10-3) In rear, 5th and in touch after 3 out, soon weakened, pulled up before last, at Huntingdon 2m 4f hcp (4) sft in Feb.
