Imaginaire is out to get the losses back and can do so, with Supreme Arrow seen as the main danger. Imaginaire jumped well when finally opening his account over fences at Folkestone in 2001, having had 17 races without success in France. His only subsequent success came at Stratford last year and since then he has struggled a bit. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel as recent efforts have been a bit more encouraging. He was found wanting when passed by Simply Gifted at Chepstow six days ago but will definitely be suited by the step up to two and a half miles, and with Sam Thomas in the plate, will have every assistance. Supreme Arrow has been a consistent animal this season, with two wins from his last five starts, at Stratford and Huntingdon. The testing ground will be against him though, and Imaginaire is preferred. Montreal has always been considered as potentially top-class, but has not been the same horse since suffering a heavy fall at Kelso last May, and it remains to be seen whether he will recapture his ability. If he does, then he would be the obvious choice, but we are happy to stick with Imaginaire.
