Eljutan makes plenty of appeal from a punting perspective and heads the shortlist over the penalised Geography and course specialist Carly Bay. There may also be more to come from Random Quest now that has hinted at a revival and he is worth monitoring in the betting. Carly Bay has had numerous chances to add to her tally at this course and has to be respected at this level. However, winning does not come naturally to her and she needs a little luck on her side to end her three-year drought. Geography is sure to be popular on these terms, as he showed plenty of determination to win at Fontwell eight days ago. He has to be respected on that form but, as he is not noted for absolute consistency, he is not one to be taking too short a price about. Eljutan makes more appeal on that score and, as he still has scope to improve, he looks a worthy contender to side with if the fitting of blinkers has the desired effect today.
