    In depth

    Formwatch

Camden King (IRE) Modest form over hurdles although his most recent run, behind Maximus over course and distance, was an improved effort; winner has won again since.

General Gleeson (IRE) Unplaced in sellers on last two runs; can’t be fancied.

Isou (FR) Probably better than he has shown and is open to some improvement although played up at the start last time.

Mansa Musa (IRE) Has form enough to be considered for a race of this nature.

Phar From A Fiddle (IRE) A winning pointer in Ireland; some promise on debut (raise A Prince pulled up) and is entitled to improve.

Raise A Prince (FR) If repeating his latest run, when second in an Ascot handicap, then he has chances here; seemed to enjoy making the running that day.

The Third Curate (IRE) Best at 7f/8f on the flat; a winner in that sphere but at a modest level.

Chilly Squaw (IRE) Unplaced over 2m5f on hurdling debut; showed promise in two bumpers prior to that; more needed.

Lancashire Lass Steps back in trip; it would need to bring about a good bit of improvement.

    Panhandle Modest form to date.

Armen (FR) Placed in two fair maidens on the flat for Martin Pipe at 12/14f; has to be considered.

Astronaut Showed reasonable form for Willie Haggas in handicaps at around 12f on the Flat last season; showed promise on hurdling debut but then refused to race last week.

Grove Lodge Not much to get worked up about on form so far.

Pompeii (IRE) Has shown promise in two runs over hurdles so far but probably needs to show a little improvement.

Rob Leach Some promise in maidens on the flat; on balance, will probably need the experience

Caliwag (IRE) Related to sprinters; wouldn’t have an obvious chance.
