Verdict

Lord E made a winning start over hurdles at Fontwell and is penalised for that success along with Newton Abbot winner The Raven Master, who has been well beaten since. Both of the above concede weight to City Dreamer, a disappointment since finishing second at Hexham in June and sharing a similar rating on the Flat to High Wells. But JUMPING JACK is rated higher than both having won three times on the level and he gets a speculative vote on his hurdling bow having recently joined Chris Gordon.
