Verdict

An uncompetitive heat and it will be a major surprise if Indalo fails to register his third success over fences. The Venetia Williams-trained gelding was a useful hurdler and appears just as effective over the larger obstacles as he showed when a convincing winner at Taunton last month. The son of Lord Americo runs here rather than an engagement in a Showcase event at Ludlow later in the week and this should provide easy pickings for the eight-year-old before being stepped up in grade. Stormy Skye does not look the safest of conveyances over fences but ran creditably in a fair event at Fontwell last time and is the only serious alternative to the selection with the remaining pair outclassed.
