Not a particularly competitive heat to round off the card and one that should concern top weight Blue Streak and Fast Mix. The former is forecast to go off as favourite and has earned that reputation and his handicap mark by some good recent performances over course and distance, winning twice ¿ on good to firm and most recently on soft. Those who believe in the ¿horses for courses¿ maxim should probably look no further, but with a 5lb rise for that latest effort we are going to oppose him here and take chance with Fast Mix. Admittedly, the four-year-old does have a bit to prove after failing dismally on heavy ground at Chepstow over Christmas, though that was in a much better race than this one. Prior to that he had impressed many with a very easy victory at Newbury under Tony McCoy, and though the champion does not ride here, the gelding¿s last outing has to be dismissed and we should expect a much better effort here. Anything like a repeat of his winning run should comfortably be good enough to win at these weights. Of the remainder, Little Bud goes well on the track in this sort of contest and makes each way appeal, as does Knockrigg, who conversely runs here for the first time, but does like it bottomless and may be good enough for a place off his present mark.
