As long as the market vibes are positive there seems little reason to oppose WILLANDRICH who is selected ahead of Firedog and Floraline. Ian Williams' gelding has a very good strike-rate and he has won his last two starts readily. A 7lb penalty asks more of him today but he handles this ground well, gets on nicely with jockey Trevor Whelan, and looks hard to oppose. Dundry may improve now handicapping and needs a market check, Art Exhibition has plenty to prove but is down in the weights, whilst Floraline and Handtheprizeover are interesting novices now moving into handicaps off workable marks. A similar comment applies to Firedog whose form with Notus De La Tour suggests that this mark of 99 could be one that his trainer can exploit. Course winner Jordan and Pete The Feat who has run well here before both need considering, however it is the in-form Willandrich who can prosper again.
