Verdict

OHIO GOLD had been competing at a high level before losing his maiden tag over timber over this trip at Folkestone and it will be a surprise if he doesn't outclass these rivals. Edlomond showed promise in bumpers and has done well enough in two novice hurdles to suggest he should be winning a little race soon but the biggest threat may emerge from Captain Moonman. Tim Vaughan's charge looked a potentially useful performer when beating Mount Benbulben comfortably in a point-to-point at Dromahane and the runner-up has proved himself high-class in bumpers and over timber subsequently. Jamesson could do bet of the remainder but has plenty to find.
