In depth

Verdict

A decent contest which looks a cut above the rest of today's card. Only Gone Too Far and Town Mouse have so far run over fences with the former having the better record having already won on good ground at Uttoxeter and Warwick. Buckhorn Timothy looks a chasing type, however, and did well over hurdles last season. Ar Mad and Come On Laurie have already won here over timber and, like the former, Cadoudoff is only a five-year-old so has plenty of scope. Andy Kelly has already been placed between the flags but was a bit disappointing over hurdles last season after looking a useful novice in his first year under Rules. We'll take a chance on PROUTS PUB, who should make a chaser and was only beaten a length off this mark over timber at Fontwell in February when Tom Cannon was also in the saddle.
