Verdict

Most of these would have benefited from a bit of rain. Mark Of Gold was beaten seven lengths by Aucunrisque here earlier in the year but is now 13lb better off with the top weight, who had a hard race at Aintree just nine days ago. Bashful Boy is a strong traveller but he’s been struggling for a change of gear in lesser company. MIDNIGHTS LEGACY has been quite lightly raced over hurdles and has his ground today. He’s already shown a liking for this track so gets the nod with conditions likely to be too fast for Antunes. Swinging London is not out of this, however, as he made up a lot of ground late on in the Boodles at Cheltenham having been given far too much to do.
