Bulfin Island has a very long absence to overcome but is unlikely to be arriving here undercooked and, having already been placed twice over timber, goes on the short-list. Baraymi was third behind Bastien, who runs in the opener, at Fontwell on Boxing Day but is more exposed than some. Kings Walk was too keen over track and trip two weeks ago but could fare better if learning to settle while Not Another Muddle was second in a Fontwell bumper on his only previous start. BOB MAHLER has a similar profile but got outpaced at Uttoxeter. Stepped up in trip and with a few hurdles to jump, Warren Greatrex’ strapping son of Mahler should now come into his own.
