Verdict

XAARCET showed little in three runs over fences last season but was racing from much higher marks. He can now run off his lower hurdles rating and can get off the mark in a poor race. Alright Benny won very easily here last month and started favourite on a return visit but never got going and only stayed on to take second late in proceedings. The Informant won twice here in the spring over shorter but was beaten a long way over this trip on testing ground at Fontwell last time and has yet to prove he stays this far. Croco Mister's only victory came on this track just over a year ago and he's back on the same mark while Red Anchor is well handicapped if anywhere near his best, but hasn't shown it for a long time.
