In depth

Verdict

A runner-up here and at Fontwell last season, HIT THE ROCKS is still seeking a first victory over timber but he is back in the right grade and eased further in the weights with Niall Houlihan’s claim a further plus. He could surprise stablemate Darkest Day, who took 11 attempts to open his account though appreciated the better ground here two weeks ago. Placed in bumpers, Dothraki Prince had wind surgery in January and switched from Tim Vaughan to Dan Skelton last month. He makes his handicap debut is a modest contest and could be anything.
