BRICK RED should be too good for these if taking to the larger obstacles as he was a very useful hurdler last season. He won enough times on soft ground to suggest he'll handle today's conditions. King Spirit hasn't been seen since making a winning start over fences at Uttoxeter in May but should be straight enough, though whether he'll be good enough to defy a penalty is another matter. Marcus Antonius has a chance on his second to Pendra at Lingfield in November but Tchang Goon is a modest maiden and Head Spin rarely looked like winning over timber and tackles fences for the first time.
