Verdict

Most are not in the best of form, the prime exception obviously being Cassivellaunus who produced a major improvement on previous runs when scoring here in February on heavy ground. He has obvious claims if repeating that level on similarly testing terrain but KING CNUT has been contesting better races than this in his first season over timber and could well prosper from this drop in grade, even though the ground is a concern. Royal Hall has been running on the Flat and the market should prove instructive as to his chance for the Moore team. Welluptoscratch has to concede weight all round but will be all the better for a run in a jumpers' bumper after an absence and has a definite chance if recapturing the best of 2016 and early 2017 form.
