The veteran Cyclop won three times last season but starts off another campaign on a high enough mark. The Abbey has looked in the handicapper’s grip for a while but Wasdell Dundalk has won his last two over the course and distance and the mare Haute Estime should have more to offer this term. The assessor will catch up with BORN FAMOUS at some point but it may not be today. Now trained in Ireland, the six-year-old has won his last half-dozen over hurdles and fences and his style of racing means that he’s only gradually risen up the ratings. Bodhisattva still has scope over fences but this looks a tough task.
