The three to note in the opener are Noeud Vert, Mr Preacher Man and Pigeon Island with vote going to the last named. The selection caught the eye at Newbury last time out when second to Pyleigh Lady. He has performed with credit without getting his head in front for a while now but if able to run to his best then he is the one they all have to beat. Of his rivals Mr Preacher Man looks the best. He looks unexposed with only five runs under his belt and will have room for improvment, his latest effort when third of six at Ayr was a modest run and he will need to up his game if he is to challenge the selection but is one to keep an eye on in the maket. As is Noeud Vert who comes from a yard who does well at this track and has been running in better company recently. But for the winner we return to Pigeon Island.
