Johnny Pedlar was beaten by a 66/1 chance when second in a novice event at Kelso so that form should be taken with a pinch of salt. Budarri has been quite consistent but is upped in trip after a second at Hexham. Karamoko probably has enough weight on his handicap debut but Lawtop Legend was second off this mark at Hexham, though still beaten eight lengths. Honeychile Ryder only won a seller at Cartmel and is 5lb higher here so we’ll take a chance on Irish raider THE TRIGGER. He won off a higher mark over fences last summer and this is his time of year. The booking of Brian Hughes has to be a positive.
