      Verdict

      West To The Bridge, who beat Teescomponents Lad more than 13 lengths at Carlisle in February, has been making hay in small fields on soft going but wouldn’t want the ground to get any quicker. Big Bad Bear beat a subsequent winner at Newcastle last month and Coolbane Boy won a handicap at Musselburgh before taking on Grade 2 company at Doncaster. DIAMOND STATE had been running consistently well before taking an early tumble at Kelso. He remains at the right end of the handicap and could give these, including the hat-trick seeking No Risk Des Flos, plenty to think about with a clear round.
