More positive tactics were employed on THE STEWARD in bumpers at Newcastle at the start of the year. He reverts to hurdles on a winning mark and Charlotte Jones’ claim is a further plus. Curramore looked sure to land a gamble at Newcastle in March when hitting the front but folded in the closing stages. That was his first run in more than a year but he looked fit enough so there may not be much improvement to come. Malangen has switched stables and may need the outing but Hooroo has been improving with experience and has more scope than Grey Girly.
