Tiger King gets a narrow vote here ahead of Fiddlers Creek and Timbuktu. The selection has yet to win a race on these shores since coming over from Germany, but he did show improved form last time. Coming from way off the pace, he stayed on well to finish a length third behind today's rival Fiddlers Creek. A four pound pull in the weights should be enough for Peter Monteith's charge to gain revenge on that rival this afternoon. Timbuktu has been knocking on the door recently, and his recent third behind So Cloudy at Hexham reads very well in the context of this event. With Tony Dobbin on board he should be capable of reaching the frame again this afternoon. In a wide open affair we must mention Compton Dragon, but Tiger King looks the pick of the weights today and he gets the decision.
