Brotherly Company, the senior runner in this, is hard to catch right but did win at Ayr in May. The remaining trio look closely matched but the going is likely to be plenty quick enough for Planned Paradise and Quantum Realm. FLOATING ROCK only won a match at Hexham last time but did win at Southwell in May and, in between, ran well here against a couple of useful novices here on unfavourable terms.
Floating Rock (GER) 8-15fav (11-8) Made virtually all, going best when shaken up approaching final fence, soon went clear, comfortably, won at Hexham 2m (3) gd in Jun beating Nero Rock (11-12) by 2 1/2l, 2 ran.
Quantum Realm (IRE) 11-2 (11-12) Disputed lead early, headed before 3rd and settled behind leaders, 3rd from halfway, not fluent 4 out and improved to dispute lead before 2 out where again not fluent, ridden from last and led narrowly inside final 150 yards, kept on best close home, won at Downpatrick 2m 7f Good - Yielding in Jun beating Gateau De Miel (11-12) by 1/2l, 9 ran.
Planned Paradise (IRE) 11-4 (11-2) In rear, blundered 1st, jumped right 2nd, awkward 5th and 6th, headway before 4 out, ridden to chase leaders 3 out, close up last, stayed on strongly to lead flat, won going away, won at Worcester 2m 4f hcp (4) gs in Jun beating La Domaniale (11-6) by 3 1/4l, 7 ran.
Brotherly Company (IRE) 10-3 (10-7) Held up, mistake 6th, struggling after 7th, tailed off, 3rd of 4, 34 1/4l behind Fire Away (11-3) at Cartmel 2m 5f hcp (3) gd in May.
