      Verdict

      Floating Rock scored easily at Southwell but the race did rather fall apart and this poses a more taxing question for all that he's progressing well over fences. Geromino is actually not that easy to assess on his three small-field chase starts and this should tell us more about his ability level over larger obstacles. Ash Tree Meadow is also not straightforward to analyse after finishing third of four on his sole jumps venture and therefore TIMBERMAN is the selection. He too has only had a single chase run but he did well to outpoint Wild Max on that occasion and is taken to follow up in an admittedly tricky contest.
