      Verdict

      Punch Nantais is probably best watched returning from a lengthy absence but Forland had a pipe-opener over hurdles at Angers in March, though Emmanuel Clayeux’ two runners are preferred. Fontannes won here in January and followed up in better company at Auteuil. Felix De Giles is in the saddle again but GRISLY APPLES is back over fences for the first time since second inn a Grade 3 at Auteuil in the autumn and is getting 4lb. He ran well for third over the smaller obstacles at the main Paris track in March and both the fourth and fifth have franked the form since.
