The Group 3 winner My Oberon was well beaten in the Lockinge last time and the Haggas colt was also beaten by Tilsit over a mile at Goodwood last year. Both UK raiders have something to find at this level with Champion Stakes runner-up SKALLETI in such good form. The latter is at his best in testing going and has won both starts at a lower level this year. The Revenant landed last season’s QE11 at Ascot but runs over this longer trip for the first time. He finished just behind third-placed Victor Ludorum at Saint Cloud last time and it would be no surprise if the latter is involved in the finish having won last year’s French 2000 Guineas before placing in the Derby at Chantilly.
