    In depth

    Verdict

Maamora landed a Group 3 at Sandown in August and her in-form yard won this in 2018. She’s preferred to Irish raider Ancient Spirit but THE REVENANT looks the one to beat once again having won this by over four lengths last year. The latter’s winning run came to an end in last season’s QE11 at Ascot but he made a winning reappearance and Francis Graffard’s charge is hard to oppose. Shaman has won a Group 2 over further since finishing third in last year’s renewal and Listed winner Motamarris also drops down in trip. Ziegfeld and Hurricane Cloud are both unexposed and the latter has won in soft ground but Ellerslie Lace looks up against it.
