Syrian Pearl and COOL BAHAMIAN finished second and third in this last year and both arrive on the back of winning at Newmarket. Competing from opposite ends of the draw today, the latter may just edge proceedings. The winning runs of Belledesert and Outrage came to an end last time and it remains to be seen how Curious Fox copes in this higher grade having landed a double at Kempton recently. A winner at Ripon, Penny Pot Lane ran well again when placed at Carlisle while Ambitious Icarus finished closer at Sandown last time having slipped down the weights and may well reverse running over this longer trip with runner-up Go Nani Go.
