    Verdict

    Azagal has got nowhere near in three previous tries over this trip and she disappointed when last seen at Newbury in the autumn, though still finished well ahead of the equally-disappointing Stosur. Maiden Approach raced too freely at Ripon on Saturday and was among the first beaten. She's also plenty high enough in the weights but the handicapper may still be playing catch-up with ISABELLA BIRD. She's gone up 6lb since winning a maiden at Windsor in October but was progressive last year and should take all the beating if handling the quicker going.
