In depth

Verdict

This isn't much better than the race DANZOE won at Yarmouth two weeks ago. Christine Dunnett's charge is 4lb higher but Darren Egan's claim takes care of most of that and the top weight, successful over course and distance on similar ground last year, is probably the one to beat. Falasteen is well treated on his best form but it's more than two years since he last got his head in front while Alpha Delta Whisky came unstuck back on Turf at Sandown last month, though Michael Murphy is back in the saddle today. Monnoyer can confirm last month's Southwell running with Shawkantango and has run well at Chepstow since so may be the pick of the remainder.
