MOUNT MORIAH (NAP), who reappeared last May with victories in handicaps at Newbury and Ascot, was elevated into Listed and Group company later and his 2l fourth behind Order Of St George in the Group 2 Long Distance Cup at Ascot is the stand-out form. That was on soft ground so conditions are in his favour and he can take this before going on to better things. The other four-year-old in the line-up, On To Victory, won a conditions race at Salisbury in September though has a bit to find while Soldier In Action looks flattered by his rating as he's run poorly on the all-weather recently. Higher Power has won three races in the all-weather but is 0-10 on Turf. His second to Big Orange in the Henry II Stakes at Sandown earned him a rating of 107 from which he won the Northumberland Plate though he was beaten a long way in three subsequent starts. Nearly Caught was a long way behind the selection at Ascot in October.
