        Verdict

Wild Thyme gets a tentative vote over Quiddity and a whole host of interesting newcomers such as Dream Again, Monsoon Wedding and On Watch. The betting market may prove to be an invaluable guide to this contest as some well-bred fillies set foot on the track for the first time, but Wild Thyme shaped well enough when second to a stablemate on her debut at Chepstow to merit support here. Quiddity found only the odds-on Dowlleh too good at Brighton and although not really bred to stay, was not stopping at the finish so should get today's extra furlong. The Cheveley Park Stud have got two runners, Neon and Dream Again, and it is the latter that makes most appeal, being a very well related daughter of Medicean. It would be no surprise to see her go close, while Monsoon Wedding is a half-sister to five winners no less. On Watch was very cheaply bought compared to the likes of Kahara and Latanazul but is sure to know what is required, and is yet another to add to the mix. The vote goes to Wild Thyme.
