      Verdict

      A winner here last month, NORTHERN SPIRIT (NAP) found only a subsequent winner too good at Yarmouth later. Spirit Of Applause is back in the right grade and also has form here. He wouldn’t want any rain but has solid claims if firm is mentioned in the going forecast. Soft going was against Havana Pusey last time at Ascot and Pinafore will almost certainly attract market support again. Mick Appleby runs the unexposed Billyjoh and Johnny James with the former probably the pick of the pair at the weights.
