Artic Nel gained the only victory of her career over this course and distance last summer though that was on fast ground and she ran poorly on her reappearance. MAID IN MANHATTAN was having only her second start for new connections after arriving from Ireland when gaining a surprise victory over 2m at Wetherby. She hasn't really shown much on this type of ground but at least we know she stays the trip. The veteran Hussar Ballad, six times a winner on the all-weather including at Wolverhampton last month, very rarely runs on Turf these days where his strike-rate is 1-23. Lauberhorn Rocket has only had five starts, the latest when staying on over 1m4f at Kempton, but Gamesters Icon is still a maiden after 15 starts. Seventii was engaged in the 3.30 at Yarmouth yesterday.
