    Verdict

Smiling Jayne was beaten in a handicap before winning a maiden at Pontefract while Thunder Queen has only placed off today’s mark the last twice. Dal Mallart won nicely at Bath and can figure again but though WYNTER WILDES has a hike in the weights to contend, she won easily at Hamilton last month and today’s extra distance and cut in the ground suit Charlie Fellowes’ filly. Improvise, Picual and Elena's Gift all make their handicap debuts with scope for improvement.
