        Verdict

        Blinkers are applied to Sakhee's Jem after returning a losing favourite at Chelmsford. She had earlier finished ahead of Lady Nayef when placed at Newmarket and makes most appeal of those with experience. Swirral Edge and Lil's Joy are likely improvers but the newcomer Kept Under Wraps is bred to need further. By contrast, TAWWAAQ is a half-sister to the speedy Listed sprinter Steps and she gets the nod to make a winning start for Roger Varian.
