Camahawk showed surprisingly good speed for a half-brother to several winning jumpers when tackling 7f at Doncaster so the longer trip should bring about some improvement. Phoenix Aquilus was a 66/1 chance when making his debut over the track and trip on heavy ground but belied his odds when chasing home the odds-on Zegalo so normal progress should see him in contention. Salamanca School went to Bath for a 1m2f maiden and made most until headed at this trip and unable to quicken. He has a stamina-packed pedigree as does John Gosden’s Dubawi colt Book Review, a half-brother to two middle-distance winners. FRENCH ASSET wasn’t given a hard introduction at Wolverhampton but stayed on nicely when the penny dropped and gets the nod in what could be an informative contest.
