Zidane can make a winning debut in an otherwise weak looking maiden in which For Life and Alabama Twist represent the best of those to have raced so far. Zidane is a half-brother to the stable's July Cup winner Frizzante, and by all accounts has done enough at home to warrant support on his debut, and with Johhny Murtagh booked to ride, he can go in first time. For Life has more experience, and is sure to come on for his return here recently when third to Kenmore. He picked up well from the back that day and will probably be seen to better effect over another furlong. Alabama Twist was a promising fourth on his Thirsk introduction three weeks ago and is another that will improve for the experience, but nothing stands out from the remainder. For the winner we take Zidane to make an immediate impact.
