This is a very tough event to weigh up and so we will put forward Smart Cat with some trepidation, Kinsgcape, King's Account and Shape Up are just three others that could land the spoils. Smart Cat's form at first glance looks modest, however he was very unlucky in running over twelve furlongs on his latest outing at Wolverhampton. He made his debut on the turf at Pontefract last September and showed plenty of promise behind a Michael Stoute runner. With the drop in trip in his favour and a mark of 60 looking pretty fair he could be capable of springing a surprise. Kingscape hasn't raced for some time but did show promise in some good maidens and King's Acount would have claims on three-year-old form. However a safer option could be Shape Up who has managed a victory on the all-weather and looks well treated on his return to turf. It wouldn't cause too much of a shock whatever landed this prize and Smart Cat has as good a chance as any.
