In depth

Verdict

A competitive race with Canadiane making her handicapping debut over fences. A useful hurdler, she has made into an even better chaser and looks sure to take the beating here, despite giving weight away all round. Noble Comic has been a model of consistency this year, but will have to turn in a personal best if he is to win of this mark. The well handicapped Hisar should be able to have his own way in front and could take a bit of pegging back, while Kassala, so impressive when beating The Negotiator and Hisar at Stratford, will need to put behind her a moderate effort at Wolverhampton, although the ground was false that day and she should be better suited to this faster ground.
