Roby De Cimbre has shown improved form for Paul Nicholls this season, winning all but one of his four starts including a novices' chase here last time and he is taken to make it four from five this term back in a handicap today, with the main dangers rated as Snoopy Loopy and Pearl King. The last mentioned disappointed back over hurdles at Bangor last time but earlier form over fences at Worcester reads pretty well and he has to be respected but the Philip Hobbs-trained gelding may be a shade high in the weights. Tom George's Lord Ryeford has shown improved form of late both over fences and hurdles but has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper as a result, while Enlightenment would need to be spot on for his reappearance. His trainer, Evan Williams, is also responsible for William Butler who is closely matched with Snoopy Loopy on running at Market Rasen last month; form on which the top weight is marginally preferred. Roby De Cimbre has done little wrong so far this term though and he is taken to win again.
