Verdict
The four-year-old Zoltan Varga is tried over fences after failing to win in eight starts over hurdles. He gets a generous weight-for-age allowance at this time of year but we’ll take the chance that another chasing debutant, G’DAY AUSSIE, takes to the larger obstacles given he can race off the same mark as when winning over the smaller obstacles at Stratford last week. Amalfi Doug will probably improve for the switch of stables and looks best of the rest.
