This should develop into a duel between Per Amore and Miss Cool, with the former just getting the vote over Martin Pipe's filly, despite the weight concession. A course and distance winner, Philip Hobbs's charge is head and shoulders above these on official figures after a decent summer including that win here and one at Huntingdon and there was certainly no disgrace in being beaten last time by the progressive Ballycassidy. True, he can make the odd mistake, but in this sort of company he should be good enough to overcome that and score. Miss Cool is fairly new to the bigger obstacles, and this is her third time in as many starts over course and distance here. A faller when odds-on favourite first time, she was again made odds-on last time out but could only finish second to Quiet Water. She will attempt to make all again, but unless she has improved dramatically for those two runs she will surely find the selection too good. The others are in it for third placed money and we will stick with Per Amore.
